Good Taste – The Sheffield Fair Trade Shop is run by a small team of dedicated staff and volunteers. Each has a passion for Fair Trade and ethical shopping and is committed to our vision of “people and planet over profit”.

Jenny coleman – GOOD TASTE FOUNDER
Jenny has been aware of Fair Trade products for many years and started selling fair trade crafts from home over 20 years ago. She quickly became passionate about fair trade as a way for people to earn their way out of poverty, and her dream of setting up a Fair Trade shop became a reality in 2015 when she set up Good Taste. She has been lucky enough to visit producers in several different countries and have seen the real difference it makes to their lives.
Rob coleman – Good taste director
Good Taste Director Rob made the move from doctor to director (and accounting whizz)! Although not often behind the counter, when he is in the shop Rob loves nothing more than a good ‘reorganise’ and it’s always intriguing to see where things have been moved to after his time in the shop! More seriously, the shop wheels would definitely not turn as smoothly without his daily accounting and (sometimes lengthy) dealings with HMRC!
lucy morley – GOOD TASTE DIRECTOR
Lucy has been aware of Fair Trade since she was a child and loves to talk to others about it! As well as being found behind the counter, Lucy manages all of the Good Taste social media channels, and enjoys speaking in schools to children about Fair Trade and the difference it makes. She is passionate about justice for the marginalised and vulnerable and combines her role at Good Taste with working for local refugee charity Hope English School. Lucy is married with three children and loves to play family games and spend time with her nieces and nephews!
Lucy also chairs the Board of BAFTS the UK’s Fair Trade Network.

Ali Sayers-Flood – good taste assistant
Ali has been a loyal supporter of Good Taste for many years, and we’re absolutely delighted to welcome her to the team following her move back to Sheffield. With a real talent for creative displays and beautiful window dressing, she brings flair and imagination to everything she does. Always smiling, Ali offers a warm and friendly welcome to everyone who walks through our doors.
Outside of work, she enjoys long walks, catching up with friends, and a great cup of coffee – Fair Trade, of course!

Lesley Blyth – good taste assistant
Long-time Good Taste super fan Lesley first joined the team as a volunteer and has now stepped up into the role of Sales Assistant. Friendly, organised and incredibly knowledgeable, she’s a real asset to the shop. If there’s a new product on the shelves, you can guarantee Lesley has already tried it – and she’ll be more than happy to share her expert review with you!

Rose Hill – Good Taste Assistant
Rose is a third year student and is our Saturday girl! Hailing from Liverpool, she is friendly and always keen to help you. She must have the shortest commute of all – as she lives in the flat above the shop!
Fair Trade Heroes
We are so grateful to all of our volunteers and friends, who have helped us to support many artisans worldwide and contribute to the work of TASTE in Nigeria.
Bethan
FAIR TRADE volunteer
Bethan is our fantastic Tuesday volunteer. The queen of organising (she could definitely give Rob a run for his money!), she keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From refreshing our window displays and restocking shelves to helping customers with a smile, Bethan does it all, and most importantly, she keeps Lucy sane on a Tuesday morning!
Elizabeth
FAIR TRADE volunteer
Elizabeth is our master of numbers here at Good Taste, keeping stock of all the food products on the shelves. As one of our regular volunteers, she also serves customers and supports the rest of the team.
Ben
Taste Ceo
Ben was born in Nigeria, leaving the country to come to the UK at the age of 8. He’s served as the CEO of TASTE since 2012. Find out more about TASTE and the life of Ben in his ‘Meet the Team’ blog post.
Imogen
fair trade volunteer
Imogen volunteers in the shop alongside her college course. She loves serving customers and re-arranging the window displays.
